Chapter 7
The Black Eden

Jack turns in his sleep, and the sun comes up.

He awakes early. He opens his blinds, and just barely misses getting incinerated by the sun, which is only half past the horizon.

“Hmmm…” He walks through the house, and takes up a glass of blood. He sips it, and hears a moan.

Jack walks into Jill’s room, only to see her tossing and turning. She is sweating, and definitely having a bad dream. Her blanket is on the floor, and she is only in a tank top and underwear.

Jack goes up to her, and puts one hand on her face. He pulls her blanket over her, and seems to calm her down. He caresses her hair, and she stops sweating. He then plants a kiss on her lips, and walks out. As he does, Vallov steps behind him.

“Goodnight, Vallov, haw was your day?” Jack laughs.

Vallov only stares at him I confusion.

“Nice talking to you.” Jack mutters, walking into the main room.

He sighs. He wishes that dream was a reality.

Even if he and Jill were to be in love, he would be unable to raise a family with her. There was no way they could.

He sighs at the thought of this, and takes another sip of blood before crushing the glass. He goes to the door, and sees the sun is now behind the horizon. The light shines from behind it, but it is no longer lethal.

Jack steps outside, and looks out. The world is so harsh, so unsatisfying.

He has the urge to cry at it, but the tears don’t fall.

Suddenly, Jill sits beside him.

“Ah, you’re up!” Jack says, smiling.

“Thanks.”

“What?” Jack asks, confused. ‘Why is she thanking me?’

“Thanks for that in my room. I knew it was you. I woke up right as you stepped out. That was very sweet,” She then turns to him, and once again in not so long, he gets a glimpse of those eyes he adores. “Why did you decide to help me? Was… that why?”

“Jilliana,” Jack says, watching the last of the sunlight fall below the horizon. “There are many things you will never understand, and many you will need time before you should. This is one of those second things.”

“But I want to know...” She grabs him around the collar. “Was that kiss meaningful?”

“I-uh…” Jack stumbles for words, and looks at her in fear. Her eyes look the same as Emily’s did… Oh so long ago… On the night he proposed… “I need to go…” Jack covers his face, and walks out, sweating, “Prepare for the battle…”

Jill sits on the steps, looking up at the twilight sky. “I love you too, Jack,” she whispers, knowing he cannot hear it. She smiles, and blushes.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Victor sits up, and as soon as the sunlight disappears from the window, he stands up.

He only slept for four hours, and then just waited all the time until the sun went down. He walks over to his sleeping army.

One hundred-fifty children lie asleep at his feet. He turns, and the girl he had spared the night before lies beside his throne, an office chair he had altered with a bunch of things he had found. He walks over to her, and wakes her up.

“Wha?” She asks, as she sees him above her. “Victow?” she says, not pronouncing her R’s right.

“Hey, I never did catch your name,” Victor says, smiling, as he presses on one fo the nails.

“My name is Bethany. Bethany Wei-“

“Bethany Orlock. You last name is now Orlock,” He says, interrupting her. “You are my future wife, and you will take on my name.”

He steps away, and lets out a screech. The others, including J.J. wake up.

“My fellow children, Welcome to The Black Eden, your new home, my new throne and kingdom.” He puts his arms out wide, and the children stand.

“Now, I must appoint some leaders. Give me a second…”

He closes his eyes, and infiltrates everyone’s minds. He finds the five strongest and bravest of the children. “You five step forward.”

The children do as they were told. There are now three boys and two girls.

“Identify yourselves.”

“My name is Justin,” One says. Justin wears a blue t-shirt and black jeans. He is a year younger than Victor looks. Justin has messy brown hair, and green eyes.

“My name’s Samuel. Call me Sam.” One boy says. Sam stands a few inches taller than Victor. He wears a white shirt, and green shorts. His eyes are blue, and he looks a bit stronger than Justin. He has a bowl cut.

“I’m Jess,” one girl says. She wears a pink shirt, and matching skirt. She is short, and has long blonde hair. Her eyes are pink.

“I’m Jacop,” One kid says. He has a black shirt, and wears jeans. He is the tallest of the five, and his eyes are sort of greenish, with some red spots. His hair is black, and he has an unattractive face. Victor assumes he can use his ugliness as a good weapon.

One girl only stands there, shyly rocking back and fourth. “What’s your name?” Victor asks, impatiently.

“I’m Callie…” The girl says. She has long brown hair, and is shortest of them all. She wears a blue and pink tank top, and wears white shorts. Her eyes look human, but her fangs remove all doubt.

“Very well. You are my guards. You will be with J.J.” Victor turns, and sees a bat in the sky. He smirks. “Battle stations…”

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, Jack runs inside. He calls Betty to scout out the nearest human city. He now sits on the roof awaiting Betty.

Betty flies back to him, sort of limping in the air. She squeaks and Jack sounds horrified.

“That fucking kid…” Jack says, angrily, “Wiped out a whole damn city…”

Jack jumps inside.

“MAI! JILL! TOPAZ! IT’S TIME!!!”

Chapter 8
Children of the Black Eden
“Part 1: Spit it Out”

Topaz, Mai, and Jill all stand with Jack.

“We split up. They are in the city… Or what it was… He’s calling it ‘The Black Eden,’ so there might be signs written in blood.”

“Yessir!” Topaz says, saluting to Jack, and flying off with Mai in the wrong Direction.

“THAT WAY!” Jack screams to Topaz, who was leading Mai, as he points to the right direction.

“SORRY!”

Topaz flies the right way now, heading to go through the other side of the city.

Jill blushes, “I can’t fly yet, Jack…”

“Very well,” Jack picks her up Bridal style, and lifts off. Jill blushes as she looks up at him.

He’s making an effort not to look at her, and they pass the full moon in the sky. Jill looks up at him, the moon right behind him. The sight is amazing.

Jack lands Jill. The city is not anywhere in sight.

“Why did we land here?” Jill asks, confused.

“They know we’re here. This city was guarded well from vampires. It has vampire combat turrets all around it. No doubt Victor is using it for himself…” He points to a metal slab in the middle of a hill, and as they step forward, it opens up revealing a large missile turret.

“RUN!” Jill screams, as the turret fires one missile.

Jack splits it in half, so it barely misses them. “They lost the war, remember?” Jack walks forward, and they continue until they enter the city.

It is a ghost town… Empty.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Victor sits in the store, Bethany beside him.

“What are these things?” He says, holding up a jewel case.

“These are things called CDs. This is… was one of the human’s greatest cities,” J.J. says, picking up an AFI CD. “These are the last music CDs that were made. Production of new albums ended in the early 2000s.” He opens up the disc case.

    “What do they do?”

“The do this…” J.J. Places the CD into a boom box and the song “Prelude 12/21” begins playing.

This is what I brought you this you can keep,
This is what I brought you may forget me.
I promised to depart just promise one thing,
Kiss my eyes and lay me to sleep.

“This is interesting… What other ‘music’ is there?”

They sample some CDs and settle with the band Slipknot, listening to their Live album as they converse.

Victor’s guards wield swords; all of them seem slightly confused. Victor chose them because their mana was great for fledglings. They had been using some Darkness powers for a while. They had almost mastered them in only one day!

Victor feels a burst of mana, and smirks. “IT seems our guests have arrived to the Eden…” Victor laughs.

“What shall we do master?” J.J. asks.

“Prepare.” He turns to Bethany. “Protect yourself, Bethany. Leave the building, and hide in your home.”

Bethany leaves, and Jack draws nearer, and Victor sits in his “throne.”

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“That bastard child…” Jill says, angrily, “He did ALL OF THIS!”

Cars are turned over, fires have broken out, and everything looks as if it had been destroyed for a long time.

“He had help…” Jack says, not looking at her. “He made sirelings. A lot of them.” Jack looks at her seriously. “Keep up your guard…”

Suddenly, a child walks out. He is covered in mud, and falls on his knees crying.

“What’s the matter?” Jill asks, running up to him.

“JILL!” Jack screams, “IT’S A TRAP!”

Jill goes to comfort the child, and the child merely smiles at Jill, revealing his fangs. He blasts her with a ball of pure mana, and multiple children begin crawling at them.

“SHIT!” Jack goes to help Jill. ‘They’re already using mana?! Not good…”

The children begin to levitate, and jack raises his sword. He slips on his gauntlet, and strikes three blasts of darkness at them.

The children cut through the blasts to Jack’s surprise, and latch onto him. He blasts them off, and severs their heads.

“These are no ordinary vampires…” Jack says, as the children still fight, although they should be dead. They put themselves together, and strike again.

Jill stands up, and blasts them with a blast of light. This incinerates them instantly. Jack looks at her, impressed and shocked. He smiles, and they run toward the sound of blasting music.

Since you never gave a damn in the first place
Maybe it's time you had the tables turned
Cuz in the interest of all involved I got the problem solved
And the verdict is guilty...

Jack steps into the building with Jill as the song “Spit it Out” begins playing. Victor smiles in his throne.

“Welcome to The Black Eden, brother…” Victor smiles.

SPIT - IT OUT
All you wanna do is drag me down
All I wanna do is stamp you out
SPIT - IT OUT
All you wanna do is drag me down
All I wanna do is stamp you out…

Jack draws his sword. “Kid, let’s go.”

Victor smiles. “Oh, but why don’t you take a look at some of my new friends, brother…” Victor smirks, and his new guards step forward.

'Bout time I set this record straight
All the needlenose punchin' is makin' me irate
Sick o' my bitchin' fallin' on deaf ears
Where YOU gonna be in the next five years?

Jack draws his sword as the children attack using great mana skill, which they didn’t even know they had.

FUCK ME! I'm all out of enemies!         Jack strikes at the children back, but his
FUCK ME! I'm all out of enemas!     attacks appear useless against them
FUCK ME! I'm all out of enemies!
FUCK ME! I'm all out of enemas!         They now attack him from all directions,
FUCK ME! I'm all out of enemies!    and he merely strikes them back, now tossing his
FUCK ME! I'm all out of enemas!     sword at the wall beside Victor, missing Victor’s
FUCK ME! I'm all out of enemies!    head only by a few inches. In all the commotion,
FUCK ME! I'm all out of enemas!    Jess drops her sword.

The song ends, and all six of the fighters stand weakened. Jill strikes Jacop and Jess with Jess’ sword.

“Thanks, Jill…” Jack says, and the two of them face the three remaining guards. J.J. merely watches them, smiling.

Jack uses some darkness to kill the remaining. One crawls away, missing only his leg.

“Well, that was amusing…” Victor says, standing up.

“What?” Jill asks.

“Well, I never intended them to kill you. I knew they would die. I just wanted to see you both fight. Nice guerrilla tactic, Jilliana…” Victor laughs. He picks up his sword, and J.J. picks up his.

The four of them face off, as victor presses on the nails in his hands.

Chapter 9
Children of the Black Eden
“Part 2: Final Fight – Jill vs. J.J.”

“You’re one fucked up kid…” Jack says, taking his sword up again.

“Thanks…” Victor smiles, and snaps his fingers. J.J. appears beside him. He smirks, and they both draw the Sword of Darkness I and II

“Those are toy swords, kid. False edge, I’ve seen for myself…” Jack smirks, and strikes. Victor blocks it with ease, and slices down Jack’s arm, slicing as sharp as a razor.

“Wanna’ say anything else?” Victor asks, as he slings the blade on his own shoulder, cutting into it about half an inch. It doesn’t even faze him, in fact he smiles.

Jack merely grunts, as Jill stands beside him. “Jill, you take care of the Goon… I’m getting the boy…”

“My name is Jared Jeston. Remember it. Fear it…” J.J. says angrily.

    “Whatever…” Jack shrugs.

Suddenly, Jill and Jack run separate ways, their opponents running with them.

Jill runs out the store, and down the street, putting distance between Jack and her, J.J. on her right side preparing to strike.

She dodges as he slashes at the ground.

“Agile, eh?” he laughs, licking his blade.

“You sicken me… Killing all the adults with that child…” Jill says, holding her sword with both hands, despite its small size.

“Why do I sicken you? I merely follow a strong vampire. I knew, once he turned me, that he was the strongest out there, and would be the future ruler of this planet. Why fight the inevitable. When you can’t beat ‘em, worship the ground they step on. That way, you’ll be on top with them.” J.J.’s logic is clouded, and Jill is disgusted by it.

“That rules out hypnotism. So you willfully let him spin on you?”

“What’s so wrong with that. He honors me, and I’m his second in command. As soon as we kill you all, we’ll be raising armies, and I’ll have my own. I’m very faithful to my sire…” He holds his blade upside-down, in a stabbing position. “I like these conversations. Why not leave the master’s brother, and be my mistress?”

“Fuck you!” Jill screams, lunging at J.J. She swipes at him, and he dodges, sticking his sword out to hit her in the face.

She jumps over, and swipes on his neck. He falls over, and his neck starts spouting blood. He lets out a demonic scream, and he looks at her, fury in his eyes. They look like a demon’s. “You BITCH!” he screams. Suddenly, he begins to shift.

“What the fuck?” Jill asks, stepping backward.

“Ah you didn’t know?” J.J. says. He now is a large beast. He has anacondas for hands, dragon-like wings, a long tail with razor sharp spikes at the end, a ware wolf head, and spider legs. A mane also replaces his hair. “I’m a shifter. My magic specializes in shape-shifting…” He smirks showing his teeth, and leans into her. His teeth alone span her whole height.

“I-I thought a t-transformation like that took a l-lot of m-m-mana…” She says, paralyzed with fear.

“Yes…” He drools, globs falling from his jaw. “But for some reason, all of the master’s sirelings are more advanced than any other vampires we have ever seen. Whether it’s their youth, or his Bloodline, they are just strong enough to use almost the most complex spells without losing too much mana…”

He strikes, one of his hands biting her on the leg. He swings her into a building, and she breaks through half of it. He then bursts through the side after her.

“So you’re all that strong?! Jesus!”

He slams down, knocking her onto the first floor of the building.

‘Shit! How can I beat THAT!’ Jill thinks to herself, and then watches as he struggles through the rubble of the building. ‘That’s it!!!’

Jill runs between his legs, and then starts yelling at him. “HEY! BIG BOY!” She starts taunting him, and he turns, knocking the building over. “I just ran between your legs, and I’m surprised! I thought if you grew, you’d have a package bigger than a two year-old!”

“WHAT?!” J.J. looks down slightly, and then at her. “I’M GOING TO FUCKIGN DESTROY YOU!!!” He screams, stomping toward her with all eight of his strong legs.

“Come on you big fuck…” She mutters, as she runs inside a huge building, and then out the back.

“YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN’T HIDE!!!” J.J. busts through the building. It suddenly begins to collapse, as he breaks through the other side.

“Who’s hiding?” She asks, as the building smashes down on him, in a pile of rubble.

He screams in agony as he attempts to break out. His head breaks out of the rubble, and she jumps on it. He stands, knocking all the rubble off of his vody and begins to swipe at her. He slams his hand at her, and she only stares as it comes at her.

‘SHIT! What am I going to do now?!’ She looks at his back, and then remembers an old movie she saw once, where a pirate jumped down a sail with only a dagger, and slid down it, damaging the boat and making it unable to sail. She smiles, and jumped.

She lamed her sword in his back as he hit his head, and he screamed in agony. She then dropped her legs and slid down his back, cutting it up, and then dropping to her feet as he falls over in pain.

“YES!” she yells in triumph, as J.J. gushes blood. She runs over to his head, which is on the pavement, and jams the sword in his right eye.

She jumps off, as he screams, and transforms back to his vampire form. He stares at her, covered in his own blood, as he stands up, still gushing. He has no clothes, because they tore off when he transformed.

“Fuck you…” He says, as he slowly walks toward her. He picks up his blade, which was beside him, and rushes toward her. She closes her eyes, braces for impact, and holds her hands in front of her. She only hears a blast, sees a flash of light, and feels blood splatter on her. She looks, and her hands are glowing with mana, and he has a hole through his torso, which is spouting blood.

J.J. Falls to the ground, and lies on his stomach, face to the side. He looks up, his blind eye down, and left up. His eyes are blue, and he smiles. “Fuck… you… you… beautiful… bitch…” His eyes cease to glow, and the life leaves his body.

Jill looks down at his corpse, and sighs. She puts one hand over his eyes, and closes them.

He died a smile on his face, and pulls a tarp over his body, and steps away. She looks at the whole block, which was destroyed in the battle, and sighs. “I’m just glad he was the only one that was hurt…”

She looks in the distance, and sees a tornado of fire. “I guess I spoke too soon…” She runs toward it, her head held high, and J.J.’s sword in hand.

Chapter 10
Children of the Black Eden
“Part 3: Final Fight – Topaz and Mai vs. The Kids”

Topaz and Mai fly side by side, as they pass the city. “Whoa…” Topaz says, looking to his left, and Mai looks with him.

“Who are those people?” Mai says. In the city, they can see a large mob-ish group of over a hundred heading for the same side of the city as them.

“I think those might be survivors… Or an army of children victor could have turned for the sole purpose of taking over the world…” Topaz looks at Mai who is looking at him confused.

“Why the hell would it be that?” Mai asks.

“I don’t know… It could be!” Topaz says, nervously. He feels like a complete idiot. ‘Who in the right mind would think someone would raise a whole army of children?’ He thinks to himself, as they land not too far away from the entrance to the city.

“Okay, we enter, find any minions, vamps, humans under the influence, or drones, and we take ‘em out for Jack…” Topaz smiles at Mai, and she smiles back. He draws his Axe, and she draws her claws.

They run at the door, dodging all of the missiles and sacrosanct weaponry. They get into the city walls, and high-five each other.

“YES! Now let’s find those…” Topaz stares at the army of children in fear, as the children hold uncanny weaponry, including razor yo-yos, water guns full of flesh eating acid, aerosol flamethrowers, and magnifying glasses. “… Minions…” he finishes in a whimper, and the children all attack.

They use the magnifying glasses to increase the light attacks, making it so that they can use even less mana and have a stronger effect. Topaz and Mai run as they all blast after them, and jump into a building, blocking the door, and running up the stairs.

“Okay, that was a failure…” Mai says, and Topaz only looks at her sarcastically.

“Hey, you feel that?” Topaz asks, “Jack and Jill are in!” He smirks. “I guess we distracted them, now time to kill ‘em.” Topaz kisses her on the cheek, and jumps down the staircase, drawing his axe, as the children start to break through. He hacks a few arms off, yet they still keep coming.

“TOPAZ!!!” Mai yells, and Topaz rushes upstairs to save his lover.

“DO NOT WORRY, MAI! I’LL SAVE YO-“ He looks at her, and she’s not in danger. “Huh?”

“I found these…” She tosses him a sawed-off shotgun, and some rounds. “They might be more effective.”

“Sweet…” He says, loading it. “Aim high!”

They jump down the stairs, and un-block the door. It opens, and some vampire children step in, and immediately freeze in fear.

“Maw,” Topaz says in a red-neck impression, “I dun think we should kill them there city slickin’ fuckers!”

“WOOO-WHEE, Paw,” Mai says in a redneck woman impression, “I do think yer right!”

They blow the shit out of the first five, and they all begin to run away from the two of them. They step out, guns blazing, and kill another fifteen. In the background, a building collapses and a scream fills the air. They think nothing of it.

“This is too easy!” Topaz says, reloading the gun.

“You said it… I guess they’re just kids underneath all the bloodlust and mana. No kid wants to get hurt…”

“Save for Victor,” Topaz says, smiling, as they follow them all.

Topaz corners one and blasts it’s brains out, and then turns to a group of five. He shoots, but nothing happens. He goes to reload, and finds himself out of shells.

“Uh Mai?” he says, turning to her, as she gets an empty round too.

“Oh shit…” She says, as she checks her pockets, and then throws the gun at one kid, impaling him through the head. They can hear a giant crash in the background, and a demonic scream.

“Fine…” Topaz smirks, and he makes a tornado of fire, melting a large group of them in an instant.

He then sees a large vampire running at them, her image unable to be identified because of the fire behind her. She runs at them, holding an awesome sword, and they draw their weapons.

Topaz gets ready to strike; only to realize it’s Jill. “JILL!” Topaz says, laughing, “You scared us!”

“Topaz!” Jill stops, and takes a breather, panting as Mai laughs.

“What are you doing?” Mai asks, “Weren’t you with Jack?”

“I was, but,” she gasps for air, “I had to take care of one of,” She gasps for air again, “Victor’s henchman. He shape shifted to a giant monster. We knocked over a building, I cut down his back, I blinded him, and I took him out. It was AWESOME!” Jill explains, ecstatically.

“We’re taking care of these guys. Wanna’ help?” Topaz asks, as he looks at her sword. “Nice sword! Where’d you get it?”

“Off of the minion,” She says, finally looking at it. “Wow, it’s cool!”

“Okay, lets take out these fuckers!” Topaz screams, and Mai lunges at a few, tearing them to shreds.

After three more minutes, they sit in front of a giant mass of corpses, all the remains of vampire children who had special abilities.

“These kids were good with mana…” Topaz points out, taking a breather.

“The minion said that Victor’s bite made them stronger than they should have been, and made their mana levels immense…”

“Damn…” Topaz says.

“That was why he could turn into a giant monster?” Mai asks, and Jill nods.

“Kay…” They watch as a group of vampire children step out, all using razor Yo-yos. They all nod, and charge at the group head on.

Chapter 11
Children of the Black Eden
“Part 4: The Prince of Blood”

“Well, that was amusing…” Victor says, standing up.

“What?” Jill asks.

“Well, I never intended them to kill you. I knew they would die. I just wanted to see you both fight. Nice guerrilla tactic, Jilliana…” Victor laughs. He picks up his sword, and J.J. picks up his.

The four of them face off, as victor presses on the nails in his hands.

Jack runs with Victor deeper into the store. They slash at each other with great speed and accuracy. They face each other, and Victor only smiles.

“Your hair is ugly this sort…” Jack smiles.

“I like it… Yours isn’t good…” Victor grunts, and he does a triple flip over Jac, and kicks him in the back.

Jack falls over, swiping Victor’s shoe, knocking him down.

Victor looks at his shoe, and sees a cut down one of the skulls that’s on the toe. “You BASTARD! THIS WAS BRAND NEW!” He flips up, his foot gushing blood. He kicks at Jack, as he stabs him through the chest.

Jack screams, immobilized and paralyzed by the stab. Victor stands over him, and smirks. “Dad was wrong in raising you. He should have killed you when you were a human.” He kicks Jack over, and then strikes him with the image of Emily.

He breaks into Jack’s mind and begins to alter his look on the battle.

“Oh, Jack,” He says. Through Jack’s eyes, he only sees Emily, “Don’t hurt me… You can’t hurt me…” He then pretends to cry, and Jack sees Emily crying.

He goes to comfort her, and then sees Emily reaching for her hand, and pressing on something, and sighing in relief when she does.

“Victor…” Jack realizes, and he jumps right as Victor swipes at him.

“How did you break that?!” He asks, running at Jack, and clashing swords.

“Emily never did that…” Jack says, pushing on Victor’s sword with an amazing force. “SHE NEVER PUSHED ON NAILS IN HER HANDS FOR RELIEF!” He kicks Victor in the face, and is about to decapitate him.

Suddenly, Victor is pushed out of the way by a vampire child. One of his guards from before that survived! The boy Sam gets sliced in half.

“For my master!” He screams, as he is torn, and Jack is shocked. Victor jumps onto Jack’s back, and Stabs him in the shoulders with the nails in his hands, wrapping his legs around Jack’s waist, and the chains around their backs.

“JACK! DIE!” Victor screams, pulling the nails out to the sides of Jack’s body, ripping his flesh apart.

“GAH!!” Jack screams in pain. He backs up near a wall, and he pulls Victor’s hands out.

“That’s all you need.” Jack hears Emily’s voice say.

‘Take away his happiness…’ Jack thinks, as he slams Victor’s hands against the wall, nail first. When he does this, the nails fly out and land across the room.

Victor freezes. He drops off of Jack, and looks at his hands.

They hurt from the nails bursting through the skin, but suddenly they heal, and stop hurting.

Victor starts frantically looking around, then up at Jack. Tears begin to fill his yes, and he starts to scream bloody murder.

He looks around for something to hurt himself with, but can’t find anything. He grabs the chains, and starts to whip himself, but he can’t hurt himself, due to the subconscious. He starts to cry louder, and looks, seeing his sword. He reaches for it, but Jack grabs it.

“Uh, uh, uh,” He says, waving his finger out. “No pain… no game.” He smiles, and Victor crawls into a fetal position, rocking back and fourth.

“DA-DA-DY!” He screams in tears, rocking back and fourth, tears falling down his cheeks, as he keeps taking in sudden breaths of air, “I-Want-My-Da-ddy!”

“Heh.” Jack smirks, sitting down. He looks at a magazine beside him, and tarts to read it, Victor still rocking back and fourth.

Suddenly, Bethany looks in the room. Victor looks at her, and then just wails in tears. She sees the bloody nail on the floor, and how his hands are not pierced with them. She picks them up, and tosses them across the room, and they hit Victor on the head.

Jack looks at Victor who jams the nails in his hands, and his tears stop instantly.

“Oh shit…” Jack turns, only to see the girl run out of the room.

“You thought you could win, Jack…” Victor says, now pressing against the nails again. “That was pretty smart…”

“Fuck…” Jack backs up, and victor looks at the jewel cases. He smashes them, and jams chards of them all over his body.

“Now try to stop my pain. I can only make more…” Victor smirks, and Jack laughs.

They lunge at each other, and Jack stabs him with both of the swords.

“THAT WON’T WORK!” Victor laughs, as blood splatters everywhere. “THE PAIN ONLY HELPS ME!!!”

“What pain?” Jack asks, and smirks. “I say, always know the central nerves that control the pain receptors on the body. It’s vital to know where to strike on some opponents, and where not to get struck.” He smiles again, “Usually I use it to make my opponent not realize how much pain I’m causing, but now…” He just smiles.

“What are you talking about?” Victor goes to press on one nail, but doesn’t feel anything. He presses on it harder, and harder, but nothing happens.

“What the fuck?” Victor asks, pushing harder and harder. He starts to look frantic, pushing as hard as possible, and starts screaming “NO! NO! NO!” Eventually he pushes so hard that the nail bursts through part of his hand, and tears his fingers clean off. He starts to cut himself on every wound, with his remaining hand, and nothing happens, and tears all of the bloodstained plastic out of his body. He bites on the other nail, and tears his other hand off. He screams in agony because of his numbness, biting himself, tearing chunks of flesh out of his body, pounds of his own flesh rip off like paper, and he eventually bursts into tears, as he bites to the bone and nothing happens. He tears his arms off, and rips his body apart.

Jack, after only witnessing his hands getting torn off, turns, as he can’t bear to watch such a gut-wrenching act. The boy is ripping himself apart chunk by chunk.

Eventually the screaming stops, as Victor sits there, panting, and bleeding, as he looks up. He has no arms, his skin ends halfway down his torso, and he’s completely torn apart.

Suddenly, he gets the feeling back in his body, and screams in agony at the pain, despite his tears of joy. Victor sees Jack bend over him. “You’re no monarch like Maximilion Orlock. You’re just a prince of your own blood…” Victor laughs in tears, and blacks out.

Epilogue
Return to Damnation

Jill, Mai, and Topaz sit down, laughing. They have defeated every last one of the vampire children they had seen, and are now celebrating as much as they can without any drinks or party favors.

Jack limps toward them. His shirt is on the ground, and he drags it behind him. Something’s inside it, because it’s trailing blood as he drags it.

“JACK!” Jill screams, going to his aid as he falls over. He has both swords in one hand, and she takes them from him.

“WHAT THE FUCK’S THAT?!” Topaz screams, pointing to the moving bloody object in the shirt.

“I wouldn’t check if I were you…” Jack says, wearily.

Topaz disobeys him, and only takes a peek, but covers it up and goes to vomit. “That’s fucking sick…” He gasps between upchucks.

“Those are his remains. He’s still alive, but he’s losing blood like crazy. We need to get him home, and heal him.” Jack says, standing up. Jill looks at him worried, and Mai smiles at Jill. She can see it. Jill loves him!

Topaz slings the boy over his shoulder. It hits him, and makes a wet slush sound, and he pukes. Jack laughs, and they abandon the city.

They fly home, and walk in, carrying the Victor’s body with them. They look around, and see Vallov had broken holes in the walls, and demolished one coffee table while trying to keep himself from going to the city. Jack merely laughs, as they prepare to throw Victor’s body on a tub of ice. “Jill, Mai, I suggest you leave. It’s fucking gross.”

Topaz leads Mai out, but Jill stays. Jack unwraps Victor and tosses his bare body on the ice. Jill holds from screaming.

Victor breathes, and his lungs are exposed, every function visible. He is not dead yet, but he’s close to it. Jack gets a glass of blood, and pours it into Victor’s mouth. He wraps the boy in bandages all around his body below his neck.

He slits his won wrist, and pours blood into Victor’s mouth. He immediately forms a tourniquet on his hand, and Victor’s blood flow stops. He awakens, his skin and flesh repaired, but his severed limbs still gone.

“YOU FUCKER I’LL KI-OW!” Victor screams, trying to grab Jack and kill him, but realizing he has no limbs. Also, it hurts… Unpleasantly, rather than what happened before when he got hurt. “Hey! That doesn’t feel good! What gives?!”

“First off, I just gave you a lot of my blood to heal you that much,” He grabs his broken brother by the neck, “SO BE GREATFUL! Second, that’s pain.”

“No, pain feels good! This just… UGH!” He grunts in pain.

“THIS is pain. You, for some odd reason, liked it before, but after ripping your body apart with your hands AND YOUR FUCKING MOUTH, you feel it like we all do. It fucking hurts. Deal with it. You did it to yourself.”

“Ever hear of too much of a good thing?” Jill asks, and Victor merely cries.

“Your arms will be back in a few days. You’ll be with Orlock by then.”

“Until then…” Jill looks out the window as the sun starts to shine above the horizon.

“Get some sleep!” Jack smirks, and they leave Victor in the room with Vallov as they go to bed.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next night, Orlock sits in his throne, only smiling.

His son experienced a lot in the past three days: The feeling of raising an army, love, freedom, strength, loss, hurt, weakness, and disability.

He now knew about the world, and knew how he’s not ready for it, just as Orlock told him over and over.

Jack knocks on a window, standing on the balcony. Orlock smiles, and signals something, and Jack takes a backpack altered to hold Victor’s limbless body off, and tosses it through the window. Victor feels the hurt, and cries.

“DADDY!” He cries, trying to wiggle over to him.

“Hello, son. You have had a good three days, I suppose?” He asks, smiling. His back is facing the boy.

    “N-no Daddy! I’m sorry! I’m sorry!”

“You destroyed a very valuable city. That caused a lot of damage to the human population, our food source. If you had been left, you would have ruined it for all of us.”

    “I’m s-sorry!” Victor cries.

“And worst of all, you lost your tolerance to pain…” Orlock turns to his son, looking pissed off. “I guess we’ll have to fix that…”

Orlock drags his son into the labyrinth by his hair, and waits in it for three days. Victor’s arms return to full length, and he smirks.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Orlock leaves the labyrinth. His son has a spiked torture mask on his face, and he’s nailed, bolted, and impaled to the wall. His legs are cemented down, and he has needles all over his body.

He screams in agony, this time that his father’s not leaving him without pain.

A single tear falls from his eyes, as he remembers his one love, which, somewhere, out there in that harsh painful world, wanders with the gift of strength he gave her, to live another day.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

She sits in a vampire city, holding a picture of Victor as she grows, and eventually, becomes a strong beautiful warrior. (But that is a tale for another day. In the time the story really ends, Bethany is only a child, like Victor.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jack and his friends sip on wine glasses of blood, as they enjoy the time they have together, as they realize it is not long, no matter how many years go by.

Jill walks up behind Jack, who, once again, is telling Topaz of the epic battle he and Victor had. “And all I did was strike him, and disable his nervous system, and he did it himse-“ Jill plants a kiss on his neck as she passes by, and walks away to her room.
