Song of the chapter!
Actually, “Did You Ever See A Dream Walking” is a song that’s been covered by many people and is one of the more over-used oldie songs in movies. It’s been in Lady in White (great movie by the way, see it), Green Mile, and I believe one of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies…probably other things too, but dagnabbit I love this song so much and it made such a cool chapter title.

I also considered “A Dream Come True” (which had a song that went with it as well) which actually makes more sense for the chapter, but again, I thought this sounded better, and I didn’t like how “true” rhymed with “chapter two”. XD Yeah, I got weird pet peeves. Not to mention it made it sound like Daniel spent three months at Disneyland.

Daniel’s “brain song” in the second panel was sung to the tune of “Row, Row, Row Your Boat”, by the way. Or it was supposed to be…his lyrics didn’t work so well with it.

Also, we finally see Daniel without a hat here! And you’ll see more of him hatless soon! It’s like fanservice! O__O

EDIT: Sorry the bonus page isn’t up yet. Blame the touchy stupidness that is Comicpress…it’ll either be up in an hour or two, or Tuesday morning instead. =/

Yep, that’s it for the first chapter! How did it end up only a page longer than the prologue of Vampire Phantasm? I have no freakin’ idea. Actually, I could’ve kept going, but I decided it would be better for the flow to stop here.

Also, you may notice some black shading in this page, which you will start to see a lot more in the next chapters. The first chapter was meant to be brighter looking than the rest. Also, there will be full color…but only at select, special times for this comic rather than at random…and well, I’ll just let you wait and see about that.

I plan to do a bonus page (maybe two, not sure yet), then chapter 2 will begin…which should be more interesting, I hope.

(Daniel wrote his initials on the tag, he doesn’t have his own line of hats. XD)

This character is a promised cameo appearance, his name’s Mart and he belongs to Jacob. He is actually a shark man, but since I couldn’t make him one in this comic setting, he’s human here…but still has plenty jagged teeth as you can see.

He is also the one male in this comic who will have long hair, (despite the fact that this is rather taboo in the 30′s) it’s under his hat and you’ll see it in the next page. I could’ve just left him with shorter hair like this page suggests he has, but it was also a good opportunity for a teensy joke in the next page…and he just didn’t look entirely himself this way.

My birthday’s tomorrow….n’ stuff.
You know what’s nice? Fanart. You know what’s even better? A first-time fanart of a brand new comic of mine. Eheh.

First, I must apologize for that terrible first panel.
Secondly, though that hat was modeled after a veil-hat I saw on the internet, I didn’t have the veil on it at first. I thought it looked odd without it, so I added it in at the last second…and I’m frankly glad I did. (After looking at some of those veil-hats, I also kind of want one for myself now.)

…and old men are fun to draw. I think I’ll call this guy Oscar, because he’s a wiener.

Ugh, my birthday’s next Monday Tuesday. When did that happen?

I’m….not sure that necklace goes well with that top, but it’s the thought that counts! XP

So do guys find putting a necklace on a lady they like rather sensual or instead a tad emasculating? XD
